SPLASH PADS & 10 THINGS TO DO THIS SUMMER

Isaac and I are trying to do a little more with our summer evenings, so once a week we're planning to take Olive somewhere new and exciting for a family date night. It means being more active, getting out and seeing more of our beautiful city, spending time as a family and trying new things! Last week we picked up lemonades and headed to the splash pad at Latta Park. We loved it! Latta Park is a 31-acre urban park in the gorgeous Dilworth neighborhood. It has tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, a covered picnic shelter, playgrounds, walking trails AND (what we went for) a splash pad! It's super family-friendly and I think we'll be spending a lot of time there this summer. =)

Olive was the tiniest child at the splash pad and I was a little worried at first that she would be too scared to go in but she did great! In typical Olive fashion she minded her own business and splashed in the fountains while all the big kids ran circles around her. Haha
Annnnnd I completely forgot to pack a towel so that's going on the list for next time. I told Isaac he was going to get pretty wet and that he should wear his swimsuit but I think he was picturing like a little water fountain or something so he just wore his shorts. Haha yeah he got soaked! Next time he's wearing his swimsuit. =) Since we had so much fun at this splash pad we want to try and visit all the splash pads in the city with O! Here is our little bucket list for this summer:

GO PADDLE BOATING
TRY TENNIS
TAKE A BEACH TRIP
MAKE ICE CREAM
GO MINIATURE GOLFING
HAVE A PICNIC
GO SWIMMING
VISIT A SPLASH PAD
HIKE TO A WATERFALL
TAKE A ROAD TRIP

Hope you all are having a beautiful week! xoxo Christine

    1. Thank you, beautiful! I have to stop myself from buying a dozen swimsuits for this babe - everything looks so cute when it's that tiny!
