OCEAN ISLE BEACH

We vacationed at Ocean Isle with my family last September when I was right smack in the middle of my first trimester - I was so nauseous and even though we took some adorable photos I just wasn't in the mood to sort through them so I'm finally sharing some of them now! #BetterLateThanNever

Olive had just turned 1 and was so cute running up and down the beach. She was so confident in the sand but needed a little hand-holding to get in the ocean. It was cloudy a few of the days we were there and I was a little bummed about it at the time but looking back at the photos the cloudy ones look so much better than the ones I took on the sunny days!
I'm excited to see how much more confident Olive is at the beach and the pool this summer now that she's a year older. If bath time is any indicator we're going to have a very adventurous little fishy on our hands! She just learned how to blow bubbles in the bath tub and it's the cutest thing!

This was Isaac's first time at Ocean Isle and he loved it! He was pricing beach houses while we were there haha a beach house is definitely on the dream board for the future ;-)

Hope you all have a great week! xoxo

MATERNITY PHOTOS IN NEWPORT

Today I'm sharing some maternity photos we took on our babymoon in New England a couple weeks ago. It snowed the day we arrived and made everything look so beautiful and wintery. It was cold and windy but absolutely breathtaking standing on these cliffs watching the water crash on the rocks. I'm pretty sure we could have spent the whole day out here!

Our winter babymoon was everything we hoped for! We spent a few days at the Vanderbilt Grace hotel in Newport, RI and got so spoiled and pampered by the staff there! They were all so friendly and took really good care of us. Isaac had arranged for chocolate covered strawberries and drinks in our room when we arrived and a couples massage for later in the week. We did the Cliff Walk (where these pictures were taken), toured Rosecliff Mansion (so pretty!), and went ice skating outdoors at night under a million stars and dozens of twinkle lights! We found plenty of gluten free options at local cafes and restaurants and really enjoyed slowing down and taking time to relax. It felt like we were dating again walking (& skating!) hand in hand just talking and dreaming about our future. =)

Big hugs and thank you to my sister and her husband for staying with Olive while we were gone! They took such good care of our baby and definitely helped make my first time away from her as easy as possible!

Hope you all have a beautiful week! xoxo Christine
